The Axentis Michael Charitable Trust is proud to announce that the tenth Axentis Michael Memorial Ball, held on Saturday 22nd November 2025 at the Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare, has raised over £500,000 to support vital causes within our local community. This milestone event also marked over 20 years of generosity, community spirit, and life-changing support inspired by the late Axentis Michael.
Originally created as a one-time tribute following Axentis Michael's passing in 2003, the Memorial Ball has grown into one of the region's most anticipated biennial fundraising events. Each celebration has surpassed the last, and the remarkable success of the 2025 Ball reflects the enduring dedication of all those who support the Trust's mission.
This year's event welcomed 600 guests, including business leaders, supporters, families, friends, and celebrity guests, who enjoyed an exceptional evening of entertainment, fine dining, and live and silent auctions featuring a range of exclusive prizes.
Speaking on behalf of the Trust, Trustee Alex Michael said:
"On behalf of the trustees at the charity, I would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped us deliver such an extraordinary event. The generosity shown by our friends, family, and guests has made the 2025 Memorial Ball our most successful to date.
A special thank you to The Grand Pier, Regency Purchasing Group, Arcadia, Payne & Gunter, and Revo Kitchen. Your teams exceeded expectations, and we remain deeply grateful for your continued support.
Given the current climate, these funds are more needed than ever, and this significant total will allow us to make a real difference to those who need it most within our community."
Every penny raised goes directly to worthy causes, made possible by the dedication of our trustees, the tireless efforts of volunteers, and the exceptional generosity of businesses and supporters who give their time, services, and resources voluntarily.
To date, the Axentis Michael Charitable Trust has raised and distributed over £3 million, supporting local children, families, and individuals through a wide range of charitable initiatives including donations to local families and individuals in times of crisis or hardship, community health and wellbeing initiatives, projects that improve quality of life for children and vulnerable people, educational, developmental and youth-focused programmes, and support to local charities, volunteer groups and community organisations providing essential support and services across the area.
The Axentis Michael Charitable Trust remains committed to honouring Axentis Michael's legacy. We look forward to continuing this tradition of community, compassion, and support at the next Memorial Ball in 2027.
